Engineering Living Learning Community (LLC)
Are you an incoming freshman who is interested in living on campus and having roommates with the same academic and career goals?
If you answered "Yes" then the Engineering LLC is for you.
The Engineering LLC is a unique program designed to help students transition from high school to university life. For their first year at FAU, these students live together in the same residential hall, take the majority of their classes together, and are required to attend engineering professional development workshops.
Engineering LLC students are also provided with a mentor who is a member of the Florida Engineering Society. The mentors meet with their protégés throughout the semester to provide guidance as needed and to provide opportunities for them to participate in company tours and events. In addition, all Engineering LLC students are required to meet with Ashley McGee, the Academic Programs Coordinator in the DESS office during their freshmen year.
