Today, students are dealing with many issues and simply need proper guidance and direction on how to move forward. In DESS, we have an open door policy and always make ourselves readily available for students. As a result, we have been able to inform students of the resources and opportunities available to them within the College of Engineering and Computer Science; assist students with choosing a major; advise students who are having time management issues; aid many students in securing additional scholarships; assist students in distress and more. This personalized attention has ensured some students who considered dropping out of school as a viable option to stay in school and graduate.
